Breaking force and
modulus comparison
The graphs below present the force-elongation curves for Twaron®, Rayon, and polyester in a single-layer carcass. Each material is tested with its optimal twist factor to preserve fatigue performance. The results conclude that Rayon exhibits low strength, while polyester demonstrates a low modulus.
Breaking force and modulus comparison
Achieving higher breaking force and modulus with Rayon or polyester typically requires two layers. This is needed for the reinforcement of a heavier EV and SUV tire. As shown in the graphs, a single layer of Twaron® provides superior performance in terms of both breaking force and modulus.
