Replacing 2 layers PET HMLS/Rayon

with a single layer Twaron®

When comparing a single layer of Twaron® with two-layer configurations of Rayon and polyester, the following observations are made:

Rayon Comparison: Twaron® offers comparable modulus with significantly higher breaking force.

Polyester Comparison: Twaron® provides comparable breaking force with a much higher modulus.

Replacing two layers of Rayon or polyester with a single layer of Twaron® reduces tire weight, decreases rubber consumption, and lowers rolling resistance.

Another advantage of a single-layer Twaron® carcass is improved production efficiency and reduced fatigue sensitivity. Double-layer composites tend to increase fatigue sensitivity in the inner sidewall and outer bead area, as the inner layer is more constricted and prone to compression.
