Building a sustainable future

Sustainability is part of how we develop and produce our aramids. For Technora®, that means responsible sourcing, efficient conversion, and long-lasting performance that helps reduce material use over time. Together with our partners, we explore ways to further minimize environmental impact across the value chain.

Creating sustainable value

Technora® contributes to sustainability through durability, offering lightweight, long-lasting, and resilient solutions that help reduce the carbon footprint of end-use products. Its exceptional strength and durability enable customers to extend product lifecycles, conserving scarce raw materials and lowering overall lifecycle costs. We are committed to optimizing production processes to minimize aramid waste at customer sites. Through targeted R&D efforts, we explore innovative pathways to repurpose residual materials, aiming to unlock new recycling technologies and support a more circular economy.

“Committed to netzero by 2050, we’re closing material loops and recycling end-of-life aramid products – driving sustainability through innovation and collaboration.”

Meeting the highest standards

Technora® complies with stringent international chemical regulations, including:

  • REACH regulation (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals)
  • RoHS Directive (Restriction of Hazardous Substances)

Technora® products are free from Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC), Persistent Organic Pollutants (POP), and Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS), ensuring safety and compliance in every application.

Minimizing environmental impact

Across all production facilities, we are dedicated to minimizing environmental emissions. We consistently operate well within legally permitted emission levels, contributing to a cleaner, safer environment. Our Teijin Integrated Report provides transparent insights into our environmental performance and sustainability initiatives.
