How is Technora® used?

Automotive

Technora® supports high-performance, long-life solutions across critical automotive components.

Transmission Belt reinforcement

Power transmission belts benefit from improved resistance to abrasion, fatigue, punctures, and tears, reducing strain and energy loss in high-stress applications. The addition of Technora® strengthens rubber compounds, making belts more durable and efficient.

Hose reinforcement

Designed for use in radiators, transmission oil coolers, air conditioning, and fuel hoses, Technora® provides high tensile strength, heat resistance up to 250°C (482°F), and chemical resistance. Its exceptional dimensional stability helps prevent leakage and extends service life.

How is Technora® used?

Oil and gas

Technora® supports long-term reliability in critical oil and gas infrastructure, withstanding high pressure, elevated temperatures, and corrosive conditions.

Umbilicals and Flowlines

Used in offshore applications, Technora® ensures hydrolysis resistance, thermal stability, and fatigue resistance for reinforcement in umbilicals and flowlines, maintaining integrity in deep-sea conditions.

Reinforced thermoplastic pipes (RTP)

Higher operating temperatures and exposure to aggressive chemicals are manageable with this material, making it ideal for hydrogen transport and oil & gas operations. Its resistance surpasses that of regular para-aramids.

How is Technora® used?

Marine and Offshore

Technora® supports reliable, long-life performance in marine and offshore environments, maintaining strength and stability under extreme loads, exposure, and elevated temperatures.

Mooring lines

A high strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, and fatigue resistance make this para-aramid an effective alternative to steel in mooring lines, reducing weight while enhancing durability. Technora® retains its performance even in high-temperature conditions, making it suitable for demanding applications like active heave compensation.

Lifting slings

Minimal elongation, exceptional tensile strength, and resistance to fatigue allow lifting slings to handle extreme loads safely while remaining lightweight.

Hoisting ropes

Abrasion resistance, low creep, and superior load-bearing capacity ensure hoisting ropes maintain structural integrity under heavy loads, frequent use, and thermal stress.
